Hoarding cleanout in Androscoggin County
By Junk Lords crew / Published / Updated
Who calls us
Usually a family member, a landlord, an attorney or a case worker. Sometimes the person living there. Whoever calls, the house belongs to someone, and the job goes better when that person is treated with respect.
How we approach it
- Private: the photos you send are used to price the job, and we keep the work low-key.
- Paced: if the person living there wants to be part of it, we work room by room and check before things go.
- Careful: we watch for papers, cash, photos and keepsakes and set them aside.
What it costs
Hoarding cleanouts start at $599. The price depends on volume, access and what is in the home. Caden quotes from photos. If the photos cannot show it all, the quote is based on what can be seen, and any added volume is agreed before work, not after.
Posted prices
Every job starts from the same posted price card. A single item is $64. A small job, up to about 1.5 cubic yards, is $119. A medium job, about 3 cubic yards or roughly a room, is $189. A large job, about 5 cubic yards or roughly a garage bay, is $239. An extra-large job, about 10 cubic yards, is $479, and anything past 10 cubic yards is $45 per yard. A mattress or box spring is $64 alone or $20 each on a job. A washer, dryer, stove or dishwasher is $69 alone and free on a job. A fridge, freezer, air conditioner or dehumidifier is $99 alone or $35 on a job. A TV or monitor is a $15 add-on. Construction debris is the job price plus 20%. Estate cleanouts start at $499 and hoarding cleanouts at $599. The full list is on the pricing page.
Safety limits
Some situations are outside a junk removal job. We do not handle hazardous waste, biohazard cleanup, needles or medical waste, asbestos, or structural damage. If a home has those, a specialist needs to go first. Tell us what you know when you send photos so there are no surprises.
Where we work
Lewiston, Auburn, Lisbon, Sabattus, Greene, Turner, Poland, Mechanic Falls, Minot, Durham, Wales, Leeds and Livermore, plus nearby Cumberland and Sagadahoc County towns. See the Androscoggin County page.
When there is a landlord or an estate
We can send a Stripe invoice to a landlord, property manager, attorney or family member. The job is scheduled once it is paid. If a code officer has set a deadline, tell us the date up front.
What to do first
- Talk with the person who lives there, if you can.
- Pull out documents, medications and valuables you can safely reach.
- Photograph each room from the doorway.
- Send the photos with any deadlines.
How booking works
Send photos through the quote form or text them to (207) 333-1422. No card is needed to ask. Caden looks at the photos and sends your price. If it works for you, you pay from the link he sends and that confirms the slot. The price we send is the price you pay unless the pile changes. If you add things after the price goes out, the price is updated before work starts, not after.
