Where Auburn bulky waste actually goes
By Junk Lords crew / Published / Updated
The facility
Maine Waste to Energy is at 110 Goldthwaite Road in Auburn. Hours are Monday to Friday 7 am to 4 pm and Saturday 7 am to noon. Fees are assessed by MWE, and proof of residency may be required.
What they accept
MWE accepts furniture, mattresses and box springs, air conditioners, rugs, metals, white goods such as washers, dryers and refrigerators, wood and construction debris, sheetrock and shingles.
It does not take hazardous material, paint, oils, cleaners, gasoline or liquids.
TVs and electronics are different
TVs, computer monitors and fluorescent bulbs go free to the Auburn Public Works Garage at 296 Gracelawn Road, not to MWE.
The easier option
If you would rather skip the trip, the lifting and the fee line, send us photos through the quote form. Single items are $64, mattresses are $64, and small jobs are $119. Caden confirms your price from the photos, and you pay from the link we send to confirm your slot. The price we send is the price you pay unless the pile changes. See posted prices and our Auburn page.
